Imaging

For “Live” collections on the SCAN portal collections should upload images directly to the portal. A copy of images are saved on the server and each collection should save their own copies.  Images can be uploaded individually while entering a record but most people batch upload images. For most “Snapshot” collections image url’s are referenced in their IPT and the images are saved on the collection’s server.  There are some Snapshot collections that directly upload images to the SCAN portal.
